Tribute

DENNIS DALE KENT
NOVEMBER 2, 1946 – DECEMBER 27, 2020

Dennis is predeceased by his father Donald Kent, mother Evelyn Kent, brother Duane Kent sister Audrey.  Dennis is survived by his wife Judith Kent, daughter Andrea Kent, sons Shawn and Jason Kent, stepsons Matt, Mark, Jason. He is also survived by his brothers Ronald, Lyle, Darrell Kent. Dennis also survived by one great grandson, eight grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Dennis served 35 years in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. After he retired, he worked as an instructor for the RCMP, implementing a new computer system. He also worked for the City of Abbotsford for a short time.

Dennis and Judy enjoyed traveling the world together. Enjoying the history and art galleries and museums each country had to offer. And partaking in tasting the wine and cuisine of each country.

Dennis liked nothing better than to spin a yarn, for his family and friends, reflecting on his time in the Navy. Of course, the telling of yarn had to be accompanied with a good glass of Scotch in hand.

Unfortunately, Dennis succumbed to Corona Virus December 27th 2020.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

From: Patience Conley
Relation: I am married to Dennis cousin Laurence Conley

Dear Judy and family.
I was so sorry to hear of Dennis passing. I hold some good memories of his visits with us in Nanaimo back in the mid 1980’s when he was still in the navy and was living in Victoria.
He was always a great help with any computer problems we had and our son especially benefited from all his help.
He will be greatly missed. Our sympathies go out to all his family. Patience Conley 💗

From: Lisa Allan (Miller)
Relation: I worked with Dennis training at the RCMP

I just found out about Dennis. I am so sorry to hear the news. I worked with Dennis at the RCMP, teaching. We had many good chats while we were on the road. My thoughts are with his family. I will miss him.
