Robert (Bob) John Rudd
January 18, 1949 – February 14, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert John Rudd, affectionately known as Bob, on February 14, 2025, at the Fort Langley Seniors Community. Bob was 76 years old.
Born on January 18, 1949, in Vancouver, BC, to parents Pearl and Robert John Sr. Bob was a skilled journeyman electrician and spent much of his working career as the maintenance foreman for the Mission School District. Bob was also a proud volunteer firefighter for the North Fraser Fire Department for many years. An avid fisherman, Bob’s passion for the sport was well-known among family and friends.
Bob was married to his beloved wife Jeanette, who passed away in 2018. He is survived by his three sons, R.J., Dan (Addy), and Adam, as well as his loving sisters Joanne (Trevor) and Sherry (Andy). Bob’s legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Ava, Jenna, and Noah.
A service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at Bakerview Crematorium & Celebration Centre on February 28, 2025, at 1 PM. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and caregivers at Fort Langley Seniors Community for their exceptional care and support over the last year.
Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
