Terrance (Terry) Kenneth Evans

August 1, 1951 - November 12, 2022

Tribute

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving and devoted husband, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle.  Terry passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Laurel Hospice in Surrey after a lengthy and courageous battle with liver cancer.

Terry is survived by his wife of 49 years MaryRose, their daughter Jennifer, son Ryan (Heather) and grandsons Jacob and Benjamin. He loved and cherished his family and friends, always putting them in the forefront of all that he did. His decades of entrepreneurial experience made him a Man of Ideas who was eager to solve problems and support those he loved with enthusiasm and generosity.

Everyone who was blessed to know Terry knows he was quick with a laugh and a warm embrace.  He was always ready for a great time, his smile and expressive eyes were always a tell as to how silly or sly he was feeling. Terry leaves us with a legacy of love that endures.

A loving heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. It broke our hearts to see him go, God only takes the best.

In lieu of flowers, the family would invite you to consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in Terry’s memory.

Terry was a man of great integrity, loyalty, and a fun sense of humor.
Loved to talk and tell stories but always ready and willing to lend a hand, no matter what the job.
His quick wit and spontaneous actions made Terry fun to be around and you never knew what to expect.
He was a wonderful and loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle and Friend.
He was my love, light and support and I will always miss him.
Thank you Terry for decades of fun, laughter and tears and for our beautiful family and extended family.

I Love you Terry! Rest In Peace My Love.

Words cannot describe how much I will miss that smiling, teasing face. Terry was one of a kind and after such a courageous battle he has earned this eternal peace. We shall meet again, I’m certain of that. My thoughts are with you, MaryRose and your beautiful family.

Relation: Longtime friend

I met Terry & Mary Rose quite a few years ago when we both started new business’s in Delta Shoppers Mall. From there Terry and I started another business of renovating and building. He was always knowledgeable and eager to start something new. We spent many years with each others family growing up. We had many adventures together and I do miss our time together. My condolence to MR, Jen and Ryan.

I remember when we were all in Jasper and went for breakfast at Smitty’s or someplace like that. There were over 20 of us and they were in a panic. Uncle Terry and a few other uncles went into the kitchen and did all the cooking for our group – he just took over the place – only in the 70s would you get away with that!

Relation: Close friend

My sweet friend Terry, one of the best days in our young adult lives was when you and Maryrose opened Dream World Sleep Centre. We all became fast friends and made some amazing memories together. As our kids grew and got involved in different sports, we drifted a bit but our love and friendship never wavered. You have left a big hole in my heart but I know we’ll see each other again. Rest In Peace my friend ❤ Gone far too soon
